Together with her colleague Lilian Haak, our member and treasurer Vanessa van den Berg, were a guest speaker of the German University for policing in the seminar for leadership for German police women.
Lilian Haak gave a wonderful presentation on the history of women in the police force. A history that cannot be told often enough if we want to understand how the women before us fought for recognition in the police profession. Because make no mistake, this is still necessary at times even today.
After that, Vanessa van den Berg was able to speak to the female police leaders attending the Frauen in Führungspositionen seminar at the German Police University about the importance of supporting one another, making yourself visible (to yourself and to others), and networking.
