This was the theme of the annual IAWP (International Association for Women in Policing) conference held in Glasgow, Scotland. Policewomen from more that 64 countries in the world come together and share knowledge, experience and best practices. We share inspiring stories, trends and common challenges in equality, diversity and inclusion.
Our member Vanessa van den Berg form the Netherlands was representing aswell as the Dutch National Police as the European Network of Policewomen here. Also director of policy of IAWP, Taibe Canolli was present.
Leadership stories, mysoginie, femicide, recruitment and retainment of women, deepfake sexual crimes and many more subjects were being presented to the attendees.
Also the annual IAWP awards were presented for Officer of the year, Civilian of the year, Leadership, and the He for she award where men supporting women in policing are being awarded for their effort and support.
Next year the IAWP-conference will take place in Bali, Indonesia from 20th untill 24th of September 2026. Make sure you will join us next year, as Europe needs to be represented more.
